Are you feeling confused or stuck? Maybe struggling with a matter in your life?
All of us, from time to time, find ourselves trapped in difficult situations from which we struggle to escape. This could be at work, at school or in our private lives. We might too often be engaging in conflicts with colleagues, family and friends or even with ourselves. We might have goals and ambitions but can’t summon the strength and motivation to do what is necessary to achieve them, or don’t believe we have what it takes to get ahead. Sometimes we fear we don’t deserve personal fulfilment, satisfaction and success.
Being in a state like that can feel overwhelming; our ability to manage our lives can suffer and we can feel incapable of taking action, compromising our emotional and perhaps even physical well-being. Reaching out can soon bring welcome relief and over time help you feel empowered to continue your life and the realization of your plans.
The counselling sessions offer support in; understanding the nature of your concerns in your daily life, clarifying the obstacles involved and supports you in settling with suitable solutions for you. This could also be support in making concrete plans for action.
An integrated approach with focus on the process
The form of counselling I offer is an integrated approach, combining dialogue, bodily awareness and connection to feelings.
Concerns and problems often implicate both our thoughts, actions, way of moving our body and feelings, which can reinforce each other in sometimes inexpedient ways. We might not be aware of possible patterns in thoughts, actions, movements and feelings, while they often happen fast and automatically. Each counselling session aim to bring awareness of how your thoughts, feelings, movements and actions are related in connection with your challenging matter. This opens to a broader understanding of how your concerns and problems affect you and your life.
The counselling invites you to move focus towards how things are connected and how they come about. When trapped in concerns and problems we might often see only the actual issue; the content of our matters. By addressing the how, the process, we achieve insights to alternative solutions, to alternative ways.
The counselling sessions offers a safe and professionally constructive space for you to share your concerns comfortably and confidentially.
